We had a good Easter this weekend and a great Easter Sunday to top it all off!
We loved having Chase, Brianne and Lyla stay with us.....We planned to start the hunt at 9:00 a.m. that way we would have enough time to find everything before we needed to make it to 11:00 church.
The kids were out and ready to start the hunt just on time.
Madi was the only one that got ready before.....
The four oldest all ready to head out and find the eggs....
There was one empty egg....I tried to use it as a teaching time.....There wasn't anything in the egg, just like Jesus wasn't in the tomb. He was somewhere else. I tried to teach the kids this, but they weren't catching on very easily. I asked them where dad's favorite place is or his favorite thing is...I was looking for the answer like the garage or his truck. I kept getting answers like the computer, on his bed, the recliner!
They obviously figured it out and got some pool toys and a snow cone maker.
Tivi with her first Easter Egg.
Aaron found his Easter basket behind the couch.
Tivi's was next to the fireplace.
Ry's was in the entertainment center.
Brayd's was in a different spot in the entertainment center.
Porter's basket was behind the couch in the piano room.
Madi's was in her room.
We then had a couple of minutes to get some pictures before we headed off to church!
A little bit closer picture with my baby.
He didn't get a new tie because he is too picky!
I do think my kids are pretty cute!
Brianne, Chase and I made a delicious dinner of chicken cordon bleu's. They were so yummy! So not healthy with the alfredo sauce on them but kinda worth it;)
Chase and Brianne left around 8:00 that night...we were so sad they left but what do ya do?
That night we made snow cones and Tiv drank out of a cup for the first time.
She did so good and looks so big! I love this girl!!
She was so so proud of herself!
Easter was good and we quite enjoyed our weekend!
Porter had a very relaxing day also-his real birthday-
Happy Birthday Porter, I am so glad you keep things happy and alive in this family. Life would definitely be boring without you.
Happy Easter also!!
