We woke up Monday morning with the winds not too out of control.....I was pretty optimistic that things would go well but a little worried that we were short a man tying down the boat. I just prayed things would go smoothly......
Just a sailin' away. Things were going well.....
Tiv driving the boat.
And drinking a little Mountain Dew.
Naughty Daddy!
Driving along with my baby...
You can see that there were some ripples in the water but not too bad at this point.
Karen was good to play with the babies and keep them entertained.
Things went pretty smoothly until the time to get the boat anchored of course.
We pulled in to our spot and the winds were crazy! I was so worried. I was even out digging anchors at this point just trying to get it all situated. The ropes were stressing everyone out, babies were crying and little kids on the beach were getting wind blown. At one point I looked over to see that Brayden was standing with his back against the sand trying to blow right in his face. I had to life him onto the boat to Aaron. As soon as I lifted him up he fell right back into my arms! It was a very crazy and scary couple of hours getting it all worked out. Thankfully Tivoli was sleeping so I didn't need to worry about her. I swore at that point we would never pull out if the winds are supposed to be high. And we would always take 5 men....Especially with families because the women need to be helping and worrying about the children.
Well, we finally got everything organized and just prayed that the anchors would hold. Chase told me the ropes would break before those anchors let loose. I couldn't decide if I felt better or worse about that.
After a stressful day I actually decided to go for a swim with the the lovely Jocelyn and Cindy:)
It was a good 'ol time. These crazy ladies didn't even need life jackets!
Tiv thought she was going to be able to sleep up top with Brayden....
I had news for her!
To end the day we went up top to have Prayer, scriptures and story time.
This is where most of the kids slept. Minus the babies of course. The kids are all getting so big! We don't know how long they will all be able to sleep together:)
We were ready for a great time!
